Meet Sheebah Letsatsi, the Founder of PuoBridge

Dumelang! Bonjour! Hello!

I am a Motswana from Botswana, a beautiful country in Southern Africa bordered by Zimbabwe, Namibia, South Africa, and Zambia.

My love for languages began early, inspired by my father, Mogakolodi Nelson Boikanyo, author of the Setswana novel “Lo ojwa lo sale metsi.” Through him, I developed not only a passion for reading but also a deep appreciation for language and culture.

I hold a Master’s Degree in French Studies, specializing in Translation and Interpretation, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, with majors in French and English (linguistics and literature).

I have worked as a French teacher for young children, since 2021, a role I enjoy deeply for its creativity, playfulness, and use of visual, interactive learning.

I have also taught Setswana to expats & diplomats from different countries including Japan (JICA), USA, France, South Africa, Ukraine.
My professional experience extends across translation and interpretation in the three languages I work with: English, French, and Setswana.

While I am passionate about conference interpreting, which I aspire to pursue more formally, I am already experienced and confident in tourism and safari interpretation. This includes accompanying French-speaking tourists, interpreting language and cultural nuances, and showcasing Botswana’s heritage, wildlife, and identity to the world.
